District Communication

The district utilizes Edlio Broadcast as our automated notification system. To ensure you receive text and telephone communication from the district throughout the school year, please make sure that all of your contact information is up-to-date.  Text messaging is used as a mode of communication during inclement weather, and emergencies, and to draw attention to other important updates from the district. 

In addition to Edlio Broadcast, individual teachers and/or buildings may use other forms of communication throughout the year.

School starts on August 19th, click on the School Web Calendar to keep up with the most up-to-date information including campus events, district-wide events, and sports schedules.  

Bus Routes

REMINDERS: It is commonplace for transportation delays to occur at the beginning of each school year. These delays often work themselves out during the first few weeks as drivers better familiarize themselves with their routes, as students learn to navigate their new building and/or bus location, and as student enrollment stabilizes.

We appreciate your understanding, patience, and support as we work through these delays.

 

Please note...some Routes, Drivers, and Bus numbers have changed this year...Check route descriptions for these route changes.  

To streamline our district transportation, the Wilton/Hicks Road bus route has been consolidated between four bus routes that were in close proximity to this bus route.  These four routes are Bus 3, Bus 39, Bus 10, & Bus 6.  If you rode the Wilton/Hicks Road bus route last school year please check route descriptions to locate your new bus number & driver.  Route times pickup/drop-off times may be affected....Contact the Ashdown Public Schools Transportation Department at 870-898-4485 for assistance.

COMMUNICATION REGARDING INCLEMENT WEATHER: The District maintains a variety of ways to communicate delays, cancellations, and closings to our community and staff. Current notification systems include:

Please ensure that contact information - to include both home contacts and emergency contacts - for your child(ren) is up-to-date as this is what is used to reach families in the event of an emergency, a change in schedule due to weather, etc. You are able to make changes to this information as needed throughout the school year.

If there is ever a time that you do not receive a phone call or text message, but you think there is a chance of a delay/closure, please check our website or official district social media accounts.
