Ashdown High School senior golfer Carson Corbell will compete in the

4-A State High School Women's Golf Match as a Medalist. Corbell was

the number-three qualifier out of a field of 22 at the Region 3 Match

in El Dorado on September 16. Corbell is believed to be the first

female state golf match qualifier to come out of Ashdown High School.

The State Match will be played at the Russellville Country Club on Sept. 30.

Other AHS Women's Golf Team members are Kelsey Cody, Kendall Spencer,

Olivia Sheppard, Katie Schwartz, and Shelby Warren. The golf team

coach is Wiley Cunningham.
